{"id":9279,"date":"2021-02-17T04:06:21","date_gmt":"2021-02-17T02:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/msccruises.co.il\/?p=9279"},"modified":"2022-11-24T17:40:59","modified_gmt":"2022-11-24T15:40:59","slug":"news-advanced-cruise-ship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/msccruises.co.il\/en\/news\/news-advanced-cruise-ship\/","title":{"rendered":"MSC CRUISES TO BASE ITS NEWEST AND MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY-ADVANCED CRUISE SHIP NEXT WINTER IN THE UAE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:1476.8px;margin-left: calc(-4% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-4% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p><strong>Abu Dhabi, UAE, 17 February 2022<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be the base next winter for the biggest and most environmentally high-performing passenger ship to sail in the Middle East,\u00a0<em>MSC World Europa.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The vessel\u2019s Swiss-based owner and operator MSC will also dedicate a second ship,\u00a0<em>MSC Opera<\/em>, to the Gulf region for the 2022\/23 sailing season as it aims to further strengthen its position as the region\u2019s number one line for holidays at sea.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made by MSC Cruises\u2019 CEO Gianni Onorato following the official opening this week by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler\u2019s representative in the Al Dhafra region of the UAE, of a new jetty for passenger ships at Sir Bani Yas Island.<\/p>\n<p>This development, according to MSC, will be greatly welcomed by cruise holidaymakers visiting the incredible island off the coast of Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Onorato hailed the cruise sector in the UAE as being an integral part of its dynamic tourism industry, paid tribute to the health and safety measures throughout the country and described MSC Cruises\u2019 business outlook for next winter in the UAE and the Gulf as \u2018very positive\u2019 as a result.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gianni Onorato, CEO, MSC Cruises<\/strong>, said,\u00a0<em>\u201cThe UAE is a very important market for us and next winter we are going to deploy our newest addition to our fleet &#8211; MSC World Europa &#8211; and further increase our capacity from this year with the introduction of a second ship, MSC Opera, in recognition of the region\u2019s ever growing status in the cruise sector.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMSC World Europa will redefine the cruise experience with a variety of never-before-seen features unlike anything at sea today and the vessel will be an additional benefit to the UAE\u2019s tourism industry. The ship will attract many international passengers from around the world, especially from Europe, and we hope to also see strong interest from guests from the Gulf Cooperation Council, especially the UAE.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cOne of our newest ships MSC Virtuosa, is currently deployed in the Arabian Gulf and although there are challenges ashore associated with the global pandemic, we have worked closely with the relevant authorities throughout the region to ensure the health and safety of our passengers, crew and the communities that the ship visits.
